Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayakan stuck due to these 2 films, know when it will be released in theatres?

Desk: South films’ big superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s film Jan Nayakan is considered to be his last film. Not only is Thalapathy Vijay himself emotional about this film, the fans are also very emotional about the movie. But nothing good seems to be happening with this film. Earlier this film was ready for release in January 2026. But after this the film got stuck in legal trouble and since then there are continuous delays in the film. Due to some reason or the other, the release of this film keeps getting postponed.

First the film had to face rejection due to the Censor Board, after that when cuts were made in the film as per the instructions, even during that time the film took time to recheck. After that, in view of the release of Dhurandhar 2, the release of this film in theaters was postponed further. On the other hand, it is now coming out in the reports that its release is being postponed not because of Dhurandhar 2 but because of two other films. If this turns out to be true then fans may have to wait even longer for the film. If reports are to be believed, the production house under which Jan Nayakan’s film is not being released in theaters is his own production house. Actually, so far 2 films have been released under KVN production house. This includes the names of films named Sadhar and Bye to Love. Now 3 films are in the pipeline for release under this production house. Jan Nayakan is also one of these films. But the makers want to release the other two films first instead of this film.

Currently, Geetu Mohandas’s film Toxic is going to be released in theaters on June 4, 2026. Yash is in the lead role in this film. Earlier this film was to be released along with Dhurandhar 2 but later its release was shifted to this day. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt’s film KD The Devil, being directed by Prem, is also looking forward to release in theaters on April 30, 2026. This film is also from KVN production house. In such a situation, Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayakan can come only after the release of these two films.

Now two types of possibilities are visible regarding Jan Nayakan. On one hand, it is believed that this film can now be released on Thalapathy Vijay’s birthday which will be on 22nd June. If this does not happen then the film can be brought to July 2026 also. Now it remains to be seen when the makers will make an official announcement on this.
