BJP’s vote share increased in Bengal- Amit Shah
Before the Assam tour, Amit Shah had issued a ‘charge sheet’ against the Mamata Banerjee government. He had said that this is not just a document of the Bharatiya Janata Party but the voice of the people of West Bengal. According to him, Mamata government has betrayed the slogan of ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’ and established ‘Syndicate Raj’ by promising ‘Sonar Bangla’. Describing it as a battle of ‘fear versus trust’, Amit Shah said that the desire for change is clearly visible in the state. Citing figures, he said that BJP’s vote share in Bengal has increased from 17% in 2014 to about 40%, which clearly shows that the public wants change.
