BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS IN PUNE!! Now move anywhere and anytime

Pune News | There is a comforting and happy news for the senior citizens of Pune. Pune Municipal Corporation has taken an important decision so that even at an advanced age they can travel comfortably and at low cost. Now citizens above 60 years of age traveling by PMPML bus will get 50% discount on ticket price. The main objective behind this decision is to reduce the financial burden on senior citizens in the time of rising inflation and allow them to go out and enjoy travel more.

Chairman of the Standing Committee Srinath Bhimale has put forward this proposal, and the purpose behind it is to bring public transport to more people. This scheme is being implemented so that senior citizens should use bus service more instead of private vehicles and provide them with a convenient option. Detailed planning is currently underway for the implementation of this plan.

Along with this, it has also been decided to increase the bus fleet in the future to make the PMPML service more efficient. New buses are going to be added so that bus services can reach different parts of the city more effectively. Also, the work of preparing a detailed plan for the development of the bus depot is also going on. Pune News

The idea of merging Metro and PMPML bus services has also come up to make the journey of passengers more convenient. A comprehensive plan will be prepared in the next six months to plan traffic around metro stations. This will make it easier to move from one mode of transport to another.

Considering the problem of parking in the city, emphasis is also being laid on creating new parking spaces. New parking facilities will be constructed at about seven places and multi-storey parking projects will also be implemented at some places. Pune News

It is also proposed to start ‘Raste Dattak Yojana’ for maintenance of roads. The scheme will involve private companies and will take responsibility for selected roads in the city. This will help improve the condition of the roads.

Also, emphasis will be placed on providing adequate funds for pending bridges, flyovers and other transport projects in the city. Priority will be given to completing the incomplete ‘missing link’ roads, which will improve traffic flow in the city.
