In this way RCB has started its campaign with a win. In this match held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Ishan Kishan led Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and scored 201/9. In the reply innings, RCB achieved this target in 15.4 overs by losing only 4 wickets. With this, RCB has become the first team to chase a target above 200 in so few overs.

Padikkal and Kohli took the wind out of SRH bowlers

However, this did not happen. As soon as Devdutt Padikkal came to the crease at number three, he attacked the Hyderabad bowlers and created havoc.

Ishan Kishan’s stormy innings went in vain

Talking about SRH’s innings, the maximum runs for the team came from the bat of captain Ishan. While playing the captaincy innings, he scored 80 runs in 38 balls with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. During this innings, Ishan also completed the feat of scoring 3000 runs in IPL. Ishan along with Heinrich Klaasen made an important partnership of 97 runs for the fourth wicket.

31 runs came from Klaasen’s bat. At the same time, in the last overs, Aniket Verma defeated the RCB bowlers. He scored 43 runs in just 18 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. With the help of his innings, SRH scored 201 runs losing 9 wickets after playing the entire over.

Jacob Duffy and Romario Shepherd took 3-3 wickets.
