Carrying lpg Two More Indian Ships Coming Through Strait of Hormuz
New Delhi. Two more Indian ships are coming from the Strait of Hormuz carrying petroleum products. Both these ships are likely to reach Indian ports in the next two to three days. Several warships of the Indian Navy have been deployed to provide security to both the ships. Before this, four more Indian ships Shivalik, Nanda Devi, Pine Gas and Jag Vasant also reached India via Hormuz with LPG. According to the information, many more Indian ships are going to pass through Hormuz in the next few days.

Iran, which is at war with America and Israel, had announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Later Iran said that Hormuz is open, but American and Israeli ships will not be allowed to pass through here. Iran also attacked several ships in the Gulf of Oman. Due to which the movement of ships through Hormuz was stopped. Due to this, 24 Indian ships were stuck in the west of Hormuz and four in the east. Now after two more ships have crossed Hormuz, 18 Indian ships are left to its west. They are also going to return soon with petroleum products. Iran has said that Indian ships passing through Hormuz will not be stopped.

To get its ships crossing Hormuz, India has had to resort to diplomacy at the upper level. Where PM Narendra Modi spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian. At the same time, Foreign Minister Jaishankar spoke on the phone several times with his Iranian counterpart Syed Abbas Araghchi. India was also facing oil and gas crisis due to difficulty in movement of ships from Hormuz, but Modi government’s diplomacy succeeded in saving the situation from getting worse. The war between America and Israel with Iran is likely to last a long time. In such a situation, apart from its old friend Russia, India has made arrangements for crude oil and LPG etc. from America, Canada, Australia and African countries. India now buys petroleum products from 41 countries. Whereas, before 2014, petroleum products were purchased from only 22 countries.
