Politics of anarchy, corruption and appeasement in Bengal for last 15 years- Amit Shah
Releasing the ‘indictment’, Amit Shah alleged that anarchy, corruption and appeasement politics have dominated West Bengal in the last 15 years. He said, “Bengal has today become a den of infiltrators, criminals and corrupt, due to which the state has gone decades behind in the race of development.” According to Shah, the law and order situation has continuously deteriorated and the safety of women also remains a matter of serious concern. Specifically raising the issue of border security and infiltration, the Home Minister said that West Bengal has become a state in the country from where illegal infiltration continues. Describing it as a big threat to national security, he said that after the formation of BJP government in Assam, infiltration has almost ended, but this problem still persists in Bengal.
The public was misled by showing the dream of Sonar Bangla, Amit Shah
Amit Shah also accused the TMC government of misleading the public by showing the dream of ‘Sonar Bangla’. He said due to lack of development the state has become a “graveyard for industries” and syndicate rule and corruption are rampant here. According to him, this ‘indictment’ is a complete account of the 15 years of misgovernance of the TMC government. He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party has been fighting against this alleged misgovernance since 2011 and this time the people of the state are ready to give full majority to the BJP. Shah expressed confidence that BJP’s victory in the elections is certain and the party will form a new government in Bengal.
Appreciation of Shubhendu Adhikari
During this, Amit Shah also praised the role of Shubhendu Adhikari. He said that the officer has toured the entire state and raised the problems of the people at the grassroots level and has worked to take the issues like anarchy, economic crisis and infiltration to every section of the society. It is noteworthy that assembly elections in West Bengal will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be held on April 23 and the second phase on April 29, while the counting of votes will be done on May 4. As the election date is approaching, the round of allegations and counter-allegations between political parties is increasing.
