Due to injury, Starc has not been able to join the Delhi team till now, due to which many rumors are being spread about him. Amidst all this, Starc has rejected all the rumors and made it clear that he is currently struggling with injury and is going through the rehabilitation process to become completely fit. Starc recently shared a story on his Instagram and wrote that despite the opinions and views of some individuals in the Indian media who use their platforms, I am currently recovering and trying to heal from injuries to my shoulder and elbow, which I was not aware of during the Australian summer.

Mitchell Starc has apologized to Delhi Capitals and their fans for his absence. He further wrote in his statement that I recognize that this problem caused by injury and its timing is inconvenient for the Delhi team, and I apologize for this and to the fans for being unavailable in the initial matches of this season. I am committed to joining DC, will be in constant contact with the team and will keep them updated, and will do everything possible to be available for DC as soon as possible,”
