‘Planes will fly every 2 minutes’, PM Modi said at the inauguration of Noida International Airport
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the first phase of Asia’s largest airport on Saturday afternoon. PM Modi inaugurated Phase-1 of Noida International Airport, Jewar at 12.30 pm. After the inauguration of the first phase, it will be the second largest airport in Asia. After completion of four phases, it will become Asia’s largest airport.

PM Modi addressed the gathering
After inaugurating the first phase of the airport, PM Modi also addressed the gathering. He started his speech at 12.36 pm. He said that the inauguration has taken place? PM Modi said- youth are full of enthusiasm

The PM said that there are two reasons for my happiness and pride, one is that you people gave me the privilege of laying the foundation stone of this airport and now you also gave me the privilege of inaugurating it. Targeted at Congress government
PM Modi also targeted the previous governments. He said that the previous governments had turned Western UP into an ATM for loot. The BJP government has made Noida an engine of development. A flight will fly from here every two minutes. Atal ji had given permission for this airport in the year 2003 itself. At that time many people might not have even been born but the airport was not built.

The PM further said that the Congress government at the Center did not allow the foundation of this airport to be laid for years. From 2004 to 2014, it remained buried in the airport files. After our government was formed, the Uttar Pradesh government did not allow work on it. As soon as our government came to power in UP, the foundation of Jewar Airport was laid. Its construction was also done and now it has also started.
Before 2014, there were 74 airports in the country, today there are 160 – PM Modi
The PM said that the airport in any country is not just an operational facility. This airport gives flight to progress. Before 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country. Today there are more than 160 airports. Today, air connectivity is reaching small cities along with metros. The number of airports in UP has increased to 17. Earlier air travel was only for the rich but under the BJP government common people are also traveling by air.
After becoming PM, when I was about to come to Noida, I was intimidated – PM Modi

Airport will be built in 52 square km
In the first phase, a terminal and runway have been built on 3,300 acres. With one runway, this terminal can handle three crore passengers annually. The cost of construction of the first phase is Rs 11 thousand crores. This airport will be built in 52 square kilometers. At present, China’s Beijing Daxing International Airport is the largest airport in Asia, which is spread over 47 square km.
Airport will be completed by 2040
Let us tell you, the deadline for completion of the airport is 2040. Officials say that flights can start from this airport from May. The most important thing about this airport is that boarding can be done in less than 20 minutes after entry.
