Large scale protests in America against President Trump’s policies, people took to the streets in every city
Washington, March 29. There is increasing anger among the American people against the immigration and foreign policy of President Donald Trump. In this sequence, massive protests have taken place across America. Thousands of people united under the banner of ‘No Kings’ and showed their anger against the President’s policies. Organizers said the demonstrations were part of a planned national campaign, with more than 3,000 events organized across the country.
The main rally, held at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, drew the largest crowd, with an estimated more than 2 lakh people taking part. The protesters marched, raised slogans and waved posters and banners criticizing the Trump administration. Their particular targets were the administration’s crackdown on immigration and its role in the ongoing dispute with Iran. In many cities, protesters lined up on main roads, while some gathered in public squares, chanting slogans and waving placards. The rally held in St. Paul (Minnesota) was the most important event of the day.
Many well-known politicians and famous cultural figures participated in it. Governor Tim Walz addressed the crowd and introduced singer Bruce Springsteen, who also sang a song for the occasion. Many other celebrities like Senator Bernie Sanders, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers and Jane Fonda also joined the protest. Thousands of protesters took part in major cities such as New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Protestors gathered in large numbers, marching through downtown areas and holding rallies outside government buildings.
The protesters put forth a variety of demands, including opposition to immigration policies, economic issues, and broader criticism of the administration. After gathering outside City Hall in Los Angeles, hundreds of protesters marched through the streets of the city. In Houston, protesters marched through the city’s downtown area carrying a giant replica of the US Constitution. According to the organizers, it was a symbolic demonstration of defense of democratic values. Some demonstrations also included cultural presentations, speeches, and symbolic acts such as carrying a replica of the US Constitution.
John Larson, a delegate, said, “We are gathered here today to say that America has no kings.” Warning against misuse of power by the administration, he further said, “If we, the common people, remain united and keep raising our voice, then no one can defeat us.” Senator Kristin Gillibrand said that in America we do not bow our heads before any king.
He said, “Our President should be focused on lowering grocery prices, making healthcare affordable, and ensuring every family can get ahead, not using his position to burnish his personal brand. Now is the time to enforce this ban and ensure our government serves the people, not any one person’s ego.” Senator Bernie Sanders said, “Our message today in 2026 is, no more kings. We will not let this country slide into dictatorship. We the people (the people) will rule America.”
