Leipzig’s Diomande a top-three candidate to replace Mo Salah at Liverpool

Sky Germany has revealed that Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig is among the top three preferred successors to Mo Salah at Liverpool.

Various talks are ongoing behind the scenes regarding several candidates, with Leipzig still demanding up to €100million for the 19-year-old.

That being said, the Saxony club also want to convince Diomande to stay for another season, but are still preparing for big offers.

Leipzig want to keep Diomande, whose contract runs until 2030, but internally they know it will be extremely difficult to retain him.

The high price tag could deter one or two interested clubs like Bayern Munich, but big Premier League sides won’t be put off.

So far this campaign, the Ivorian talent has provided 11 goals and 6 assists in his first campaign for Leipzig in all competitions.
