Realme 16 To Offer iPhone Air-Type Design, 7000 mAh Battery At Under Rs 20,000

Realme is preparing to launch another device in its Realme 16 lineup, with the standard Realme 16 5G set to join the already released Realme 16 Pro 5G and 16 Pro+ 5G models that debuted earlier in January.

To begin with, the company has already shared several important details about the upcoming phone ahead of its official release.

Realme 16 5G Set to Launch as Brand Reveals Key Details Ahead of Debut

The Realme 16 5G is scheduled to launch in India on April 2, marking its official entry into the market.

In terms of design, the device is said to resemble an iPhone Air-style look, particularly with a horizontal camera bar placed on the back panel.

Additionally, the phone will be offered in two colour options—Air Black and Air White.

The Air White variant will feature a gradient finish, giving it a more visually dynamic appearance.

Alongside its design, the smartphone is also built with durability in mind, as it comes with IP69 certification for resistance against water and dust.

Moving to one of its standout features, the Realme 16 5G is being promoted as India’s first “selfie mirror phone.”

This means the device includes a mirror-like surface on the back, allowing users to use the rear camera as a viewfinder for selfies.

As a result, users can take higher-quality selfies using the main rear camera instead of relying only on the front camera.

Realme 16 5G: Display, Camera, and Other Specifications

The phone is confirmed to feature a 50MP sensor on both the front and rear.

It will also include multiple camera features, although detailed specifications of those features have not been fully disclosed.

Talking about the display, the smartphone will come with a 6.57-inch screen.

The display is expected to offer a peak brightness of 4,200 nits, making it suitable for use in bright lighting conditions.

In terms of battery, the Realme 16 5G will be powered by a large 7,000 mAh battery.

It will also support 60W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device relatively quickly.

Furthermore, the phone includes a 6050 mm² airflow vapor cooling chamber designed to manage heat during heavy usage.

This cooling system is intended to improve performance stability, especially during gaming or intensive tasks.

On the software side, the device will run on realme UI 7 right out of the box.

The company has also confirmed long-term software support for the device.

Specifically, users can expect three years of Android updates.

In addition, the phone will receive four years of security updates, ensuring continued protection and functionality over time.
