Sunrisers’ coach said after losing to RCB; bowlers bowled poorly

Daniel Vettori said, the initial matches cannot be taken lightly

Bengaluru. Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori criticized his team’s bowling against Royal Challengers Bangalore and said that the bowlers gave a lot of chances to Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal to score runs in the first match of IPL. Sunrisers scored 201 runs for nine wickets. RCB achieved the target in just 15.4 overs.

Vettori said after the match that we needed a good start with the bowling, which we did by taking the wicket of Phil Salt, but we could not give our best performance. We did not bowl disciplined. Virat and Padikkal were given a lot of chances to score runs who performed brilliantly.

Sunrisers saw how RCB fast bowler Jacob Duffy bowled but their bowlers could not execute the strategy. He said that we learned a lot from RCB’s bowling but could not implement it. Every match in IPL is very important, especially the initial matches. In such a situation, negligence cannot be done.
