Tension increases in Middle East: Iran claims F-16 and American drone shot down, America silent

Iran crisis: Iran has made a big claim amid the ongoing tension in the Middle East. Local media reports quoting Iran’s paramilitary force Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) say that it has shot down an American F-16 fighter jet and MQ-9 drone. However, there has been no official response from America on these claims yet.

Iran’s action in response to the attacks

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, this action has been taken in response to recent attacks on Iranian civilians and industrial sites. The IRGC claimed that it targeted American and Israeli targets in the ‘occupied territories’.

Claim of dropping drone over Shiraz

IRGC says American MQ-9 drone flying over Shiraz in southern Iran was successfully shot down. Apart from this, F-16 fighter jet has also been claimed to be targeted, but clear information about the damage caused by this attack has not been revealed yet.

America did not give any confirmation

On the other hand, America has not confirmed these claims. Military experts believe that independent verification is very important in such cases, because in the current situation the ‘information war’ between the two sides is also intensifying.

Where will this conflict stop?

The situation in the Middle East is continuously worsening. The increasing conflict between Iran, Israel and America can take the form of a major conflict. At present, the eyes of the whole world are fixed on when and at what point this tension will stop.
