Purulia, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed displeasure over Amit Shah’s comment about his injury during the assembly elections and asked him to see the medical report which contains information about his leg injury. A day earlier, Shah issued a political charge sheet against the Trinamool Congress government of West Bengal and accused party chief Mamata Banerjee of always playing victim card politics. She had said that sometimes she talks about her injuries and sometimes she curses the Election Commission. But the people of West Bengal have now understood his victim card politics very well.
Addressing an election rally at Manbazar in Purulia district on Sunday, Banerjee said that people are saying that I roam around with a bandage during the elections. I have come back from the jaws of death again and again. Go and get the doctor’s report. Taking aim at the BJP, he said, “Did you intentionally hurt my leg during the 2021 elections?” I campaigned sitting on a wheelchair. Are you planning to kill me?
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that a charge sheet should be filed against Shah himself for his past actions. She highlighted her government’s development initiatives and alleged that if the BJP came to power, it would stop the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme for women and impose restrictions on people’s food choices.
