Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma terribly misjudged a catch and conceded four in the IPL 2026 fixture against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on March 29, Sunday. The veteran cricketer wore a disappointed expression and signalled that the ball went for a boundary after his misfield.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi gets a massive reprieve from Rohit Sharma
The incident occurred in the 15th over of the innings bowled by Afghanistan leggie Allah Ghazanfar. With the right-hander Angkrish Raghuvanshi looking to hit a six, he failed to time it well. Rohit Sharma, stationed at long-on looked to take it above his shoulder to his right. However, the 38-year-old was standing an inch forward and shelled it, with the ball also touching the rope. To rub salt on Mumbai Indians’ wounds, Raghuvanshi belted a six straight down the ground off the very next ball, punishing the hosts for the fluffed chance.
