Independent MP from Purnia, Bihar, Pappu Yadav is once again in the news for his statement. Amidst the continuous allegations of sexual exploitation against politicians and officers, he has given such a statement which has heated up the political atmosphere.

Taking a dig at the system, Pappu Yadav said that the government should now stop schemes like scholarship and pension and should start systems like ‘Sex Pension’ and ‘Sex Allowance’ in their place. He said that ‘when 90 percent of the leaders and officers are involved in exploitation, then such a system will have to be implemented.’ His statement directly questions the system and also expresses serious concern about the situation of women’s safety.
