Classroom of the Elite Season 4: Everything you need to know about the new season

The fourth season of Classroom of the Elite will be known as Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 4th Season: 2-nensei-hen 1-gakki (Year 2, 1st Semester) and is set to premiere on April 1, 2026. Animation will be handled again by Studio Lerche; this season will be broadcast as a 90-minute special with the first four episodes airing back-to-back on the premiere evening. This season should consist of approximately 12–16 episodes and will cover the early Year 2 arc from the original light novel series.

Following directly from where Season 3 ended, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Class D will continue to experience increased psychological warfare against one another at the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. A new OAA application has been introduced to calculate the abilities of students. Because there are now also new 1st graders, it is more difficult for 2nd graders to predict the content of the alliances and rivalries that will form. In the special exam for the new year, 2nd graders will be partnered with 1st graders in a high-pressure written test. If a 2nd grader does poorly on this test, he or she risks being expelled from school. The introduction of new and mysterious characters to the story will add to the intense nature of the environment, including a mysterious character that may be connected to Ayanokoji’s hidden past from the White Room.

Key characters from previous seasons include Shouya Chiba as Ayanokoji and Take care of yourself as Suzune Horikita, along with Ayana taketatsu as Kei Karuizawa from previous seasons returning. New to the first year of this anime are Minako Satō (Tsubasa Nanase), Hiroya Egashira (of Kazuomi House), Momoko Seto (Ichika Amasawa), etc. This series will be simulcast on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and will probably have an English dub later on.

Expect to see much deeper mental games, class betrayals, and smarter strategies, and watch as Ayanokoji continues to grow through tougher exams against more hidden enemies. Year 2 promises extreme drama, making it one of the most exciting arcs of all the light novels. If anyone wants to binge-watch all the previous seasons of this anime before they return in April, they can do so on Crunchyroll or Netflix.
