UP Weather Update: Weather will change again in UP, alert of storm and rain on March 30
With the passage of Holi, the sun started getting harsher in Uttar Pradesh and people started feeling that now the scorching heat will start. But, nature has something else in mind. The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert of rain and storm, surprising the people of the state. Actually, due to the activation of a new Western Disturbance, the weather pattern of UP is going to change completely.
According to the latest forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be cloud movement in almost all parts of Uttar Pradesh on March 30 and there is a possibility of light rain. However, the maximum impact can be seen in the western districts of the state, where strong winds along with heavy rains are expected.
‘Yellow alert’ in western UP, possibility of strong storm also
The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning especially for the districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that on March 30, there will not only be rain in areas like Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur and Baghpat, but there may also be a dust storm. The speed of the wind can be so much that it becomes difficult for the pedestrians walking on the roads and those living in kutcha houses.
The local administration has also been asked to remain alert as there is a fear of trees falling or power lines being affected at many places due to the strong storm. Meteorologists say that this change is happening due to snowfall in the mountains and low pressure area in the plains.
Lines of worry again appear on farmers’ foreheads
While on one hand the general public will get some respite from the heat due to this unseasonal rain, on the other hand this news is no less than a shock for the farmers. In fact, the last week of March is the time when crops like wheat and mustard are fully ripe or their harvesting is in full swing.
In such a situation, if there is rain with strong winds on March 30, then the risk of lodging of crops increases. Farmers say that if there is hailstorm then all the remaining work will be completed and the hard work of the year can go waste. Agricultural experts have advised that farmers whose crops have been harvested should take them to safe places and stop irrigation of the crops which are still in the field.
Will it rain in Lucknow and Purvanchal also?
Talking about the districts of Central UP and Purvanchal including the capital Lucknow, the Meteorological Department has predicted light drizzle or sporadic rain here. It is not that there will be heavy rain like in Western UP, but due to cloudy sky, the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees. This will give people some relief from the stinging heat of the afternoon, but the level of humidity may increase.
In fact, for the last few years, this kind of unstable weather has become a common thing in the months of March and April. Due to climate change, we are now seeing unseasonal rainy season in the beginning of summer. The Meteorological Department says that after the rain of March 30, the weather will start clearing once again from April 1 and the temperature will increase rapidly.
At present, caution has been advised in all the districts regarding March 30. If you are planning to go out of the house that day, then definitely check the weather conditions once, because sudden storm and rain can create obstacles in your path.
