On the birthday of actor Vijay Verma, the release date of his web series Matka King came out, know when the series will premiere.

New Delhi. Actor Vijay Verma’s birthday is on Sunday. On this special occasion, the makers of their upcoming web series Matka King have released the teaser of the show and also announced its release date. The series will also star Kritika Kamra and is set to premiere on April 17 on Prime Video. Set in 1960s Bombay, the story of Matka King revolves around a cotton trader who starts a new gambling system called Matka. Which starts as a small idea. It gradually takes a bigger form and reaches people from different sections of the society. Apart from Vijay and Kritika, the show will also feature many other actors like Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Jadhav, Bhupendra Jadwat and Gulshan Grover in important roles.

The story follows the journey of Brij Bhatti, played by Vijay Verma, who tries to make his mark in a rapidly changing city. As his idea expands, he faces increasing risks, a race for power, and ever-growing ambitions. Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur shared his thoughts on the project and said that this story is different because of its background and the journey of the lead character. Kapoor said that what attracted us to Matka King was the sheer scope and uniqueness of its world as well as the story of a man who moves forward in search of his ambition, identity and respect in a rapidly changing society. Created and written by Abhay Koranne and directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, the series will be available in over 240 countries including India from April 17.
