PM Modi thundered in the public meeting in Palakkad: made a sharp attack on the opposition parties, said- we will form the next government in Kerala
Palakkad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hit out at both the UDF and the LDF, accusing them of “decades of corruption and indulging in political opportunism”. Addressing an election rally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) here, Modi said, “For decades, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) together have looted Kerala… Our Kerala is trapped in this system.”
“Congress and Left parties make false allegations against each other… You should be wary of both,” PM Modi said. He claimed Kerala was “sending a message of change”, with support for the BJP rising among youth, women and farmers. He also claimed that the BJP-led alliance will form the next government in Kerala. Modi said, “‘Team BJP’ and ‘Team NDA’ together will form the government in Kerala. With the blessings of the people of Kerala and your support, we will form the government here and will leave no stone unturned in the service of Kerala.
He also alleged misuse of central funds, saying, “This money was yours, but they have looted it.” He also warned that both fronts are afraid of the rise of the BJP and said their “misdeeds will be exposed.” Promising development, Modi said the NDA government will bring back the looted funds and accelerate development in Kerala.
In his speech, the Prime Minister also appreciated the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Palakkad. He said that Palakkad is called the gateway to Kerala and its greenery, traditions and hardworking people make it special. Referring to the Kalpathy temple, he said that it is often compared to Kashi and being an MP from Kashi, it holds special significance for him.
Prime Minister Modi also paid tribute to the social and spiritual heritage of Kerala. He paid tribute to great saints and social reformers like Sree Narayana Guru, Chattampi Swamikal, Mannathu Padmanabhan, Mahatma Ayyankali and Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara. He said that these great personalities have given direction to the social consciousness of Kerala.
