They say that last month, my friend Paritosh Painter’s play was reaching Bandra, when Akash Gursale, who helped me a lot in the direction of “Athang” got a call, he said that he is shooting a movie in Pune, but an actor has backed out, if the shooting is not done tomorrow, the producer will suffer a lot, so will you make a guest appearance?
I had never done a timely job, Akash couldn’t say ‘no’, I said yes, without looking at Paritosh’s play experiment, wished him well and drove to Pune. Which movie is it? Who is the producer director? What is my role? I reached the set at seven in the morning without asking anything. Then I realized that there is a role of an old man. I became old after doing make-up for 2-3 hours, enjoyed shooting as an old man for two days, then left the mask of an old man in Pune and came back to Mumbai. Had a different experience.
