Surya Tilak of Ramlala on Navami, rays fell on the forehead for 9 minutes; God seen in gold studded clothes
Ayodhya: Surya Tilak of Ramlala was done on Friday on the occasion of Ram Navami in Ayodhya. At exactly 12 noon in Abhijeet Muhurta, the sun’s rays fell on the forehead of Lord Ramlala. This was his second Surya Tilak after Pran-Pratishtha. During this special ritual, divine rays fell on the forehead of the Lord for about 9 minutes.
During this, Ramlala was seen adorned in gold studded clothes. The sanctum sanctorum was beautifully decorated with flowers. 14 priests were present in the sanctum sanctorum and special prayers were performed. After Surya Tilak, Aarti took place and the doors were closed for some time.
Scientific preparation of Surya Tilak
For Surya Tilak, a special 65 feet long system made of 20 Ashtadhatu pipes was prepared. 4 lenses and 4 mirrors were installed in it. With their help, the sun’s rays were transported right to the sanctum sanctorum and fell on Ramlala’s forehead in the form of a tilak. This scene was a wonderful combination of science and faith.
