Shami was India’s best player in the 2023 World Cup; He finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets in just seven matches. The chances of his comeback before 2027 now seem quite slim.
4. Shardul Thakur
Shardul played in the initial matches of the last World Cup, but he could not leave any significant impact. Despite his wishes, his chances of playing in the 2027 World Cup look very slim.
5. Ravindra Jadeja
The road ahead is quite difficult for experienced all-rounder Jadeja, known for his excellent fielding and fitness. His recent performances with both bat and ball in ODI matches have been quite disappointing. Jadeja’s place in the future team now looks uncertain.
