BJP MP Nishikant Dubey needs to see a psychiatrist, that’s why he is making derogatory remarks about Biju Babu: Naveen Patnaik
New Delhi. Controversy is increasing over the comments made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey regarding former Odisha CM Biju Patnaik. Now Biju Patnaik’s son and former Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik expressed his strong displeasure over the statement of the BJP MP and strongly condemned his statement. Speaking to the media in Bhubaneswar, Naveen Patnaik said that I am shocked to hear the derogatory things said about Biju Babu. I don’t think he knows that during the war with China, the then Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru had given Biju Patnaik an office near his office in Delhi to help him in planning the strategy, when he was the Chief Minister of Odisha at that time.
He said that I was about 13 years old at that time, but I remember very well how angry Biju Babu was about the Chinese attack. How many efforts had they made to stop him. That MP needs to see a psychiatrist for making such irresponsible statements.
Let us tell you that BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, while stirring up a new controversy, had seriously accused former Chief Minister of Odisha and freedom fighter Biju Patnaik of being a mediator between Jawaharlal Nehru and America (CIA). There has been a stir in political circles after this statement.

Who was Biju Patnaik?
Biju Patnaik was not only the Chief Minister of Odisha, but also a courageous freedom fighter and skilled pilot. He not only contributed to India’s independence, but also played a big role in getting independence for Indonesia. His stories of flying to the Soviet Union during World War II and flying planes to Jakarta to rescue Indonesian leaders are still famous today.
Why political controversy?
This controversy is considered to be a part of the ongoing ideological battle between the Nehru-Gandhi family and the opposition parties. On one hand, BJP is calling it the dark chapter of Congress, while on the other hand, Biju Patnaik’s name is an emotional issue in the regional politics of Odisha, on which BJD is not ready to make any compromise.
