Stir in Bihar politics: Nitish Kumar resigns from Legislative Council, BJP leader Nitin Naveen also ready to step down.

Patna. A big development has come to light in the politics of Bihar today. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned from the membership of the Legislative Council. His brief 29-word resignation letter was submitted to the council through minister Vijay Chaudhary and MLC Sanjay Gandhi. Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh confirmed the acceptance of the resignation.

Under constitutional provisions, no person can remain a member of two houses for more than 14 days. Since Nitish Kumar was elected to the Rajya Sabha on March 16, it was mandatory for him to give up the membership of one House by March 30. At present, he will remain on the post of Chief Minister of Bihar, although he has not given any clear statement regarding further political steps.

On the other hand, the stir in BJP has also intensified. Party’s national president and Bankipur MLA Nitin Naveen has also announced his resignation from assembly membership. He has submitted his resignation to State President Sanjay Saraogi, which will be formally presented in the Assembly.

Giving information about his decision on social media, Nitin Naveen said that under the new responsibility assigned by the party, he will continue to work for the development of Bihar and his region. Describing his relationship with the workers and the public as unbreakable, he also reiterated his resolve to achieve the goal of developed India and developed Bihar by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
