Naval officer killed his girlfriend and cut her body into pieces
Ravindra, a 30-year-old naval officer posted in the Indian Navy ship INS Dega, murdered his girlfriend. Accused Ravindra was married and had an extra marital affair with his girlfriend Polipalli Mounika. Ravindra carried out the incident when his wife had gone to her maternal home. After killing his girlfriend Polipalli, Ravindra cut her body into pieces and kept it in the refrigerator.
Ravindra and Mounika met in the year 2021 on a dating app ‘Mingle’. Both were of similar age, Ravindra was 30 years old and Mounika was 31 years old. Gradually the friendship between the two grew and then a love affair developed. They often met at different places in Visakhapatnam, sometimes in the park, sometimes in the theatre. Both of them used to spend good time with each other.
When and how was the murder done?
Some time ago his wife went to her parents’ house in Vizianagaram. After his wife went home, Ravindra felt that now he had a chance. He called his girlfriend Polipalli Mounika to his house. Ravindra thought that in the absence of his wife, a good time could be spent by calling Mounika home. So on Sunday afternoon he asked Mounika to come to his house. Mounika also went to Ravindra’s house. But by evening a fierce fight started between the two. In anger, Ravindra strangled Mounika and killed her. After the murder, Ravindra ordered a knife from an online delivery app and cut Mounika’s body into pieces.

According to the police investigation, they first separated the head, both hands and both legs from the body of the body. Then they packed the legs and hip parts in a trolley bag, kept the torso inside the fridge and took the head and hands to some other place and burnt them. Some time after committing the murder, Ravindra himself went to the police station and confessed to his crime.

Accused Ravindra told the police that Mounika had taken a total of Rs 35 lakh from him during this relationship. Apart from this, Mounika often threatened that if Ravindra did not support her, she would tell his wife about this affair. There were frequent fights between the two regarding this matter. That Sunday was also a manifestation of the same quarrel in which Mounika lost her life. This entire incident happened in Visakhapatnam. The police are now investigating the matter further.
