Massive fire in Ahilyanagar plastic factory, fire brigade brought it under control!
There was panic in Supa MIDC of Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra when a massive fire suddenly broke out in a plastic factory. The fire brigade has controlled the fire after hard work and there is no report of any casualty.
According to the information, this incident took place in the industrial area of Supa Ghanegaon in Parner taluka, where the fire in a company named Venkatesh Poly took a serious form within a few minutes.
According to primary information, after a sudden fire broke out in the factory, the flames spread throughout the unit within no time. It is being told that a large quantity of plastic products and raw materials were kept in the premises, due to which the fire broke out rapidly and appeared to be out of control. High flames and clouds of black smoke were visible far and wide, causing chaos in the nearby industries.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the local administration and fire department came into action. Several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and immediately the fire extinguishing operation was started. The surrounding areas were also evacuated as a precautionary measure. After hard work the fire was brought under control.
The matter of relief in this accident is that there was no loss of life. The employees and laborers working in the factory were evacuated safely in time, due to which a major accident was averted. However, the fire is expected to cause huge damage to the factory.
At present, the cause of the fire is not clearly known but short circuit is suspected. The administration has ordered an investigation into the matter and the situation is being constantly monitored.
According to local people, regular checking of safety standards in the industrial area is necessary so that such incidents can be prevented in future. This incident has once again raised serious questions regarding the security arrangements in industrial units.
