Chicken auctioned, for darling Iran

The Muslim community presented a unique example of solidarity in Kargil district of Ladakh, where local people have started a large-scale donation campaign to help in war aid for Iran. During this auction, a shocking report has come to light that an ordinary donated chicken was auctioned for Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand.

People are participating enthusiastically in this ongoing help campaign for Iran in Kargil. Common citizens are contributing as per their capacity in the donation camps organized in various blocks, villages and cities of the district. Some are giving utensils, some jewellery, some are giving motorcycles, cars and even animals.

During this time, a villager had gifted a hen to the donation camp. The organizers auctioned it on the spot, in which a local man bought it for a huge sum of Rs 1,25,000. The entire amount received from the auction was dedicated to relief efforts in Iran.

Local Muslims say, “It is our moral duty to stand with the people of Iran in difficult times.” According to the organizers, such campaigns are not only raising financial assistance but are also promoting unity in the society.
