Ignoring parents will no longer work! Telangana government brings salary cut bill; Will apply to all employees

Telangana News: A bill has been passed in the Telangana Assembly which is considered very influential socially. Its name is Telangana Employees Accountability and Monitoring of Parental Support Bill. Under this bill, it will now be mandatory for government employees and private employees as well as public representatives to take care of their elderly parents and if anyone refuses to do so or does not follow it, then he will have to give 15 percent of his salary or a minimum of Rs 10,000 per month to his parents.

Chief Minister A. Speaking on this bill, Revanth Reddy said that the child who does not take care of his parents should be ostracized from the society. He clarified that the limit of Rs 10,000 has been fixed because any amount exceeding this may be against the existing laws of the Central Government. However, he also indicated that the state may recommend to the Center to increase this limit.

BJP also supported

Bharatiya Janata Party supported this bill and said that it is unfortunate that there is a need to make a separate law for the welfare of elderly parents, although it called it a positive and commendable initiative. He also demanded that strict action should be taken against those who do not follow this law. Whereas Assembly Speaker G. Prasad Kumar also praised this initiative of the government and the Chief Minister, calling it an important step taken in the interest of the society.

CM gave the example of this industrialist

Chief Minister A. Emphasizing the seriousness of this issue, Revanth Reddy gave the example of industrialist Vijaypat Singhania. He said that in his last moments, Singhania had to live without the support of his own son, which is very worrying.

Former minister also mentioned about father’s neglect

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also mentioned that he knew a former minister who had neglected his father. Recently many MLAs came to condole the demise of that minister’s father but this incident left a strong message for the society.
