Major accident averted in Narmada! Boat capsized with 16 passengers and 5 bikes, 4 youths saved their lives

On Monday evening, a scene was seen at Rampura Ghat of the holy Narmada river of Madhya Pradesh, which shocked everyone. A boat in which people were on their daily journey suddenly reached the brink of death.

This boat going from Rampura towards Richhawar Ghat suddenly lost control and overturned in the river. The 16 passengers and 5 motorcycles on board the boat were submerged in water within seconds. But meanwhile, the bravery of four youth turned this accident into a miracle.

How did the boat accident happen in Narmada river?

This incident took place in Rampura Ghat of Deori police station area. According to the information, there were more people and vehicles in the boat than the prescribed capacity. The boat accident in Narmada river happened when the boat gradually started losing balance and started filling with water. Before the passengers could understand anything, the boat overturned. As soon as the boat overturned, there was chaos. Women, children and men all fell into the river and screams started echoing everywhere.

Bravery of four youth saved 16 lives

When the accident happened, four local youth present there jumped into the river without wasting a moment. Gangaram Lodhi, Domal Lodhi, Sandeep Lodhi and Sirvind Lodhi took out all the passengers one by one without caring for their lives. This task was not easy amidst the strong current, but with courage and wisdom these young men brought everyone safely to the shore. If these four youths had not taken timely action, this accident could have become very big.

5 bikes loaded in boat drown, search continues

While the lives of all the passengers were saved in the accident, 5 motorcycles kept in the boat drowned in the river. With the help of local people and administration, so far 3 bikes have been taken out, while the search for the remaining 2 is going on. The boat accident in Narmada river has now become a warning as to how dangerous overloading can be.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the administration reached the spot. Deori Tehsildar and police station in-charge inspected the spot and gathered complete information. Also, considering the bravery of the four youths, the administration has announced to honor them.
