Dr. Care Implant Clinic applies digital workflow to improve treatment precision and efficiency

The approach is designed to support shorter treatment times, improved accuracy, and more consistent clinical outcomes.

The global dental implant market is undergoing a technological shift. According to Fortune Business Insights, the sector is projected to reach $7.9 billion by 2030, driven by advances in digital dentistry, including 3D imaging, computer-aided design, and guided surgery systems.

Founded in 2018 and focused exclusively on implantology, Dr. Care Implant Clinic has completed more than 4,000 cases. The facility has invested in a digital workflow that standardizes treatment processes from consultation to post-treatment monitoring.

The clinic integrates multiple digital systems into a single workflow. At the diagnostic stage, patients undergo 3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging to generate detailed scans of the jaw structure, nerves, and surrounding anatomy. In parallel, intraoral scanners capture digital impressions of teeth and soft tissues.

These datasets are combined using Digital Smile Design (DSD) software, allowing clinicians to simulate treatment outcomes and plan implant placement accordingly.

For surgery, the clinic uses dynamic navigation technology to track implant placement in real time, providing continuous feedback on position, angle, and depth. In full-arch procedures, photogrammetry systems are used to capture implant positions with high precision, supporting the fabrication of prosthetics.

“Digital tools don’t replace clinical judgment; they enhance it,” said Dr. Doan Vu, Medical Director of Dr. Care. “When you can visualize anatomy in three dimensions and guide procedures in real time, decisions are based on data rather than estimation.”

The digital workflow extends to the restorative phase. An in-house CAD/CAM system enables the design and production of crowns, bridges, and full-arch prosthetics on-site, reducing reliance on external laboratories and shortening turnaround times.

For patients, the use of a unified digital dataset across all stages helps streamline treatment planning, improve the fit of restorations, and reduce variability between diagnostic and surgical phases.

For international patients, the digital workflow may also reduce the overall treatment timeline. According to the clinic, dental implants cost at Dr. Care remains 50–70% lower than comparable procedures in Australia, the U.S., or the U.K., while the digital infrastructure ensures that treatment quality is benchmarked to international standards.

Patients cited factors such as shorter waiting times and clear communication during treatment. Others noted that they selected the clinic after comparing multiple providers based on clinical expertise and service approach.

Samantha Ruddiman, a 52-year-old patient from Australia, noted: “The experience has been really good. You go in; you’re not waiting around forever. They look after you straight away. They explain the process.”

Pieter Hofman, 63, from the Netherlands, added that after visiting more than 10 dental clinics in Vietnam, he chose Dr. Care for its professionalism and the quality of its clinical team.

Dr. Care’s team consists entirely of implant-specialized doctors with 7–13 years of focused experience, supporting the growing demand for dental implants in Ho Chi Minh City. The clinic is led by Dr. Vu, who serves as president of the ITI (International Team for Implantology) Club Ho Chi Minh City Chapter and is a board member of HSDI (Ho Chi Minh Implant Dentistry Association).
