Zayn Malik honors Nusrat with powerful tribute track

British singer Zayn Malik has revealed that one of the tracks on his upcoming album Konnakol is a heartfelt tribute to legendary Pakistani icon Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

During a recent conversation with Track Star Presents, the former One Direction star shared that the song is titled “Nusrat” and was directly inspired by the late qawwali maestro. He confirmed that naming the track after Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a deliberate homage to the artist’s enduring influence on music.

Zayn also opened up about the concept behind his album Konnakol, which is scheduled for release on April 17. He explained that the title refers to a unique vocal technique where rhythm and percussion sounds are created using the voice. The singer said he experimented with this style by producing beats vocally and layering melodies over them.
