Controversial Maulana Abdullah Salim, who had commented on the mother of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has been detained by the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police in a raid in Dalmalpur village of Amour police station area of ​​Purnia district. STF is coming to UP with him. In this regard, STF officials say that he has not been formally arrested, but has been called for questioning in a case. Maulana Abdullah Salim is originally a resident of Mahalgaon under Jokihat police station area of ​​Araria district of Bihar.

He is accused of making objectionable comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his family. Following these statements, there were widespread protests in many districts of Uttar Pradesh and cases were filed against him in different police stations. According to the police, FIRs are registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Justice Code in many districts including Balrampur, Bahraich. These include serious allegations like hurting religious sentiments, spreading disharmony in the society and spreading misleading information.

It is being told that till now more than 80 cases have been registered against him. Considering the seriousness of the case, Uttar Pradesh STF was given the responsibility of his arrest. The team was searching for him for a long time and raids were being conducted continuously at possible locations. In this sequence, after receiving accurate information, STF took action in Dalmalpur village of Bihar and captured it. According to sources, Maulana was continuously making controversial comments through internet media, due to which law and order was feared to be affected.

At present he is being brought to Uttar Pradesh, where further legal action will be taken after interrogating him. It is noteworthy that a viral video is believed to be the root of the entire matter. The Maulana had commented on the cow slaughter laws and related issues during a religious gathering in early March. During this time, he had also made objectionable remarks on the Chief Minister’s mother. After which the video went viral rapidly on social media.
