However, former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has a different opinion on this subject. He believes that there should be no haste in this matter and has described Vaibhav as a child.

On Monday, Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted stormily against CSK in Guwahati and scored a fifty in 15 balls. After this, on one hand, discussion has started in the cricket circles about getting Vaibhav entry in Team India. On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin has said that there should be no haste in Suryavanshi’s debut because he still has more than 2 decades of cricket career left.

Talking about Vaibhav Suryavanshi on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, “Don’t give him such a target. He is not even fully grown up yet, he is still a child. If MS Dhoni is playing till the age of 45 (44) and if Suryavanshi plays till the age of 40, then he still has two and a half decades left in cricket.”

Advised to leave Vaibhav Suryavanshi alone

Whenever Vaibhav Suryavanshi comes on the field, he does such wonders that he is talked about in the corridors of cricket. He did the same in the match played with CSK. But now Ashwin says that Vaibhav should be left alone.

Ashwin further said on his YouTube channel, “Leave him alone, when the time is right he will come on his own. He is such a good player that he can’t help but play for India. He will play eventually. When will he play? We may have to wait a bit for that. Why are we always in such a hurry?”

Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted stormily in the match played against CSK in IPL 2026. While chasing the 128 runs given by CSK, he scored a half-century in just 15 balls. He hit 5 sixes and 4 fours in his innings. However, he could not convert the fifty into a big score and returned to the pavilion after scoring 52 runs in 17 balls. His strike rate was 305.88. With this, Vaibhav became the third player to score the fastest fifty in IPL history.
