Iran’s ‘cannon burns to kill mosquitoes’ Fatur! Middle East’s difficult Asan 4 thousand km away ‘friend’?
A month has passed and the Middle East is burning in the heat of war. The incident of drones launched by Iran has now become the ‘new normal’ in countries like Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia. Iran’s ‘cheap’ drones are causing damage on the one hand, as well as the cost of war equipment used to stop drones is huge! And in this situation, Ukraine is becoming a ‘friend’ of the Middle East.
At the beginning of the war, US President Donald Trump said that the country that he would never take help from during the war is Ukraine. But the countries of the Middle East are now relying on that country 1,400 km away. Just last week, Zelensky visited Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia. And signed agreements with three countries. He promised to give cheap sting interceptors and bullet interceptors to his ‘friends’ in the Middle East. Besides, he will also teach war tactics obtained from four years of experience. In return, the Middle East will give Ukraine powerful missiles. With which they will face Russia. Two hundred anti-drone experts have already arrived in Middle Eastern countries like Jordan and Kuwait.
And here is the question, why has Ukraine suddenly become such a favorite of the Gulf countries? At its core is economics. It should be noted that the cost of making ‘Shaheed 136’ drone, which is considered as the jewel in the crown of Iran, is between 18 lakh to 28 lakh rupees. Thousands of such drones can be produced within a month. According to ‘The Wall Street Journal’ report, these affordable drones and missiles have destroyed 13 US military bases. The resulting damage in the first three weeks of the war was estimated at $2.9 billion (Tk 2.41 lakh crore). And the missile that is being used against these drones costs 3.3 crore rupees! In addition, in the case of the US fighter jet F-16, the cost per aircraft will be 25 thousand dollars per hour. As a result, the difference in cost is visible.
This situation is very similar to Ukraine. They faced the same problem four years ago. Also, they did not get any powerful weapons from the West. And in this case, Sting and Bullet Interceptor became their ‘light of hope’. Whose success rate is 70 to 90 percent. This is the weapon they are handing over to the Middle East countries to stop Iran.
