Suman’s powerful look in ‘Vashikaran’, Snehlata Vasaikar called it a unique match!
Snehlata Vasaikar spoke openly about the look of her character. He said, “Suman’s entire look has been very thoughtfully designed so that she can present the image of a woman who is strong as well as connected to her roots. The biggest feature of this character is that it shows a balance of tradition and strength.”
She said, “My look is inspired by the real culture of Maharashtra. The regional identity is clearly visible in the attire and jewellery. The most special thing in Suman’s look is her Nauvari saree, which is worn in traditional Maharashtrian style. This saree reflects hard work, confidence and authority. This saree gives a different strength to my character, which is clearly visible on the screen.”
Snehlata said, “My look includes many special elements like Maharashtrian nose ring, big bindi and traditional gold jewellery. The nose ring adds a dignity to my character. While the mangalsutra and layered necklace give more depth to my character, making her look more impressive in the story.”
He said, “I like this look of Suman very much. This look gives a different kind of energy and confidence. Through this look, Suman’s character looks strong and powerful but at the same time there is a simplicity and reality in it, which connects the audience with her.”
If we talk about the story of the show, it is based on a remote village in Maharashtra. Here Suman is a woman whom people fear and she has a hold on the entire village. The story takes an interesting turn when a woman insults Suman in front of everyone and the very next day she dies mysteriously. After this the incidents become even more mysterious and scary.
Later in the story, Suman’s Tantric guru also dies under suspicious circumstances, which creates an atmosphere of fear and suspicion in the entire village. The police start investigating the case, but as the truth begins to emerge, the situation becomes more complicated. Relationships change, enemies emerge and Suman’s reign of fear slowly begins to weaken.
