Lucknow. The pace at which Uttar Pradesh has progressed in the field of industrial development in the last few years has left behind long-standing records. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has seen remarkable changes in the fields of investment, employment and infrastructure.
Industrial picture changed in 9 years
According to the data, from April 2017 till now, 17,841 new factories have been registered in the state, whereas in the last 70 years till March 2017, this number was only 14,178. At present, the total number of registered factories in the state is continuously increasing and has reached a new level.

In fact, the youth have got the biggest benefit of industrial development in the state. Due to new factories, lakhs of people have got direct employment opportunities. It also includes a large number of women, reflecting their increasing participation in the workforce.

Not only big industries but also small and medium industries have expanded rapidly in the state. The establishment of a large number of MSME units has boosted employment and trade at the local level, while large factories have strengthened industrial capacity.

Industrial development is no longer limited to a few cities. Maximum investment has taken place in Western UP, industries have also grown rapidly in Central and Eastern UP, industrial activities have now started in areas like Bundelkhand. This balanced development is playing an important role in strengthening the economy of the state.

In recent times, industrial activities have gained more momentum. New investment proposals and continuously increasing number of factories have established UP as a strong industrial state.
