Kirti Choudhary as Ganga, a unique confluence of selfless love and sacrifice in Ganesh Karthikeya.
Ganesh Kartikeya Serial: Sony SAB’s show Ganesh Kartikeya brings alive the precious stories of devotion, family and divine relationships through the journey of the Shiva family. The story in the current track focuses on Goddess Parvati (Shrenu Parikh), who discovers her true identity – the reincarnation of Goddess Sati – and moves towards her destined union with Mahadev (Avinesh Rekhi). Meanwhile, Tarakasur (Aamir Dalvi) constantly puts obstacles in their path and tests their devotion and strength. Adding a new color to this emotional journey is Ganga, the elder sister of Goddess Parvati, played by Kirti Chaudhary. Ganga’s personal feelings are towards Mahadev, which brings a heart-touching conflict to the story.
Ganga’s story became the most beautiful
As the elder sister of Goddess Parvati, Ganga is shown to be very graceful, compassionate and full of deep devotion. She dreams of marriage with Mahadev, but when she learns about Parvati’s past birth and their divine connection, her world changes. Ganga, rising above her own desires, chooses love and silently retreats for the sake of her sister’s destiny. This journey full of sacrifice and self-confidence makes the audience emotional. Meanwhile, Tarakasura continues to put obstacles in Parvati’s path and tests her courage and devotion, while Parvati comes closer to her union with Mahadev.
Heart wanted companionship, but Ganga chose sacrifice.
Talking about her character, Kirti Choudhary said, “I remember the first scene when Ganga realizes that Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva are meant for each other. In that moment she has to suppress all her emotions. That day was special for me because the scene was not about much dramatic expression, but about emotions that you cannot express. We did several takes and every time I felt a lump in my throat, thinking how difficult it is to let go of something that you truly believe in. Love from the heart. Ganga’s love is pure, but its strength lies in the fact that it retreats with dignity. This emotional balance made this journey special for me.
