An important part of actor Ranbir Kapoor’s film Ramayana was presented at an event in Los Angeles, the glimpse will be released in India on Hanuman Jayanti.

After winning the hearts of the audience with his stellar performance in the film Animal, actor Ranbir Kapoor is now preparing for the release of one of his most ambitious projects, the film Ramayana. Well-known director Nitesh Tiwari is directing this film. On Monday, Ranbir along with Nitish Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra unveiled a key part of the film at an event in Los Angeles. This new glimpse titled ‘Rama’ reportedly shows Ranbir in Lord Ram’s look. This glimpse will be released in India on April 2 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Many pictures and videos of the US event have surfaced online, due to which the fans are very excited.

In a viral video from the launch, Ranbir can be seen sharing his thoughts about bringing the character of Lord Ram to life through a film project. Describing Lord Ram as the conscience keeper of billions of people, Ranbir said that Lord Ram has been the conscience keeper of billions of people across the world for centuries. He tells us about the triumph of the human spirit. He is a symbol of compassion, courage, goodness and forgiveness and is called Maryada Purushottam. Which means an ideal man. No official picture or video has been released yet by the team of Ramayana. With Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi playing Sita, Yash playing the mighty Ravana, Sunny Deol playing the powerful Hanuman and Ravi Dubey playing the role of Lakshman, the film Ramayan is one of the most awaited films of 2026. Earlier during an event, director Nitish Tiwari had described the project as a cultural milestone and called it more than a film. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with eight-time Oscar winner DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. This two-part epic film will be released worldwide in IMAX, with the first part arriving in Diwali 2026 and the second part arriving in Diwali 2027.
