Sarfaraz Khan Catch: Playing his first match for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026, Indian player Sarfaraz Khan may not have been able to leave his mark with the bat, but he definitely thrilled the fans by taking a tremendous diving catch of Vaibhav Suryavanshi during the Rajasthan Royals innings.

In the third match of IPL 2026 played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday (30 March), Chennai Super Kings’ batting was a complete flop and the team could not recover from the initial setbacks. During this time, Sarfaraz, who was bought for his base price of Rs 75 lakh in the IPL 2026 auction, also got a chance as an impact player, but he was out after scoring 17 runs in 12 balls.

However, during the innings of Rajasthan Royals, he definitely showed amazing performance with his fielding. The 7th over of the innings was going on and Vaibhav Suryavanshi was batting brilliantly. Vaibhav Suryavanshi had scored 52 runs in just 16 balls. It seemed that he would single-handedly change the course of the match.

Meanwhile, he tried to play another big shot in the off side direction, but the ball did not hit the bat properly and went towards deep cover. Sarfaraz Khan standing there ran fast and took a brilliant catch by diving forward. This catch was so spectacular that everyone was surprised. With this wicket, Suryavanshi’s stormy innings ended and Rajasthan got its first blow at 75 runs.

Talking about the match, the entire team of Chennai Super Kings was reduced to 127 runs, in which Jamie Overton scored 43 runs. In reply, Rajasthan Royals achieved the target in 12.1 overs on the basis of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s half-century and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant innings of 38 runs off 36 balls.
