Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R gets free oil change offer worth ₹3,000 in India; Here’s What You Need to Know
Kawasaki has announced a limited-period service benefit for owners of the Ninja ZX-6R in India. As part of this initiative, customers can avail a complimentary engine oil change worth ₹3,000, valid from April 1 to April 30, 2026, across authorised dealerships nationwide.
The offer is aimed at ensuring that ZX-6R owners continue to extract optimal performance from their motorcycles, especially considering the high-revving and performance-focused nature of the bike’s engine. Do note that while the engine oil is free, labour and additional service charges will still apply, and the benefit is limited to selected customers, so checking eligibility with your nearest dealer is advisable.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 127 bhp at 13,000 rpm (with RAM Air) and 69 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Known for its strong top-end and relatively usable mid-range, this engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a slip and assist clutch, making it both engaging and manageable in aggressive riding scenarios.
Cycle parts play a crucial role in how the ZX-6R delivers this performance. The bike is built around a perimeter frame, suspended by Showa SFF-BP forks at the front with 120 mm travel, and a fully adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear offering 151 mm travel. This setup ensures sharp handling and stability, whether on the road or the racetrack.
Braking hardware includes twin 310 mm discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, offering strong and consistent stopping power. In terms of proportions, the motorcycle features a 1,400 mm wheelbase and 130 mm ground clearance, while the seat height stands at 830 mm. The 17-litre fuel tank allows for decent touring range, and the bike has a kerb weight of 198 kg.
On the features front, the ZX-6R comes equipped with ABS, a three-level traction control system, a quickshifter, and three riding modes – Road, Sport, and Rain. It also gets a 4.3-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling riders to access ride data and smartphone integration features.
