Police arrested Maulana Abdul Salim, who made indecent remarks on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s mother.

Bahraich. Maulana Abdul Salim of Bihar, who made objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his mother, was arrested from Bihar on Tuesday and brought to Bahraich in UP. The police have disclosed this arrest.

After being brought to the city police station, the accused was interrogated for about 30 minutes. After this he was produced in the court, from where he was sent to the district jail.

According to police sources, a few days ago Maulana Abdul Salim had given an objectionable statement about the Chief Minister’s mother. After this statement, cases were registered against him in many districts of the state including Bahraich, due to which the matter became serious.

Ajit Pratap Singh, District President of the Law Cell of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, had filed an FIR in the city police station on March 8. Since then the police and STF team were searching for the accused.

ASP Nagar Ashok Singh said that further legal action is going on in the matter and other aspects are also being investigated.
