Security tightened regarding IPL in Lucknow: Ekana will be monitored through drone-CCTV, 2 thousand police personnel including paramilitary force deployed

Lucknow, Read: Due to the IPL match between Lucknow and Delhi teams on Wednesday, strict security arrangements have been made in and around Bharat Ratna Atal Vihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium. The stadium complex is divided into three super zones, six zones and 16 sectors.

Apart from security officials, more than 2000 police personnel including anti-terrorist squad, anti-mine team, bomb squad, paramilitary forces and police personnel have been deployed. Anarchists and ticket blacklers will be monitored with drones and CCTV cameras. From the control room, officials will continue to take stock of the routes and security in terms of traffic.

According to Joint Police Commissioner Law and Order Bablu Kumar, three Deputy Commissioners of Police, six Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 35 Inspectors, 254 Inspectors, 465 constables have been deployed for security. Apart from this, for the operation of traffic system, the entire area has been divided into two super zonal, three zonal, nine sectors and 24 sub sectors. In which two Deputy Commissioners of Police, three Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, nine Assistant Commissioners of Police, 28 Inspectors, 161 Inspectors, 391 Chief Constables, Constables, 108 Home Guards have been deployed. At the same time, five companies PAC, one company RAF, Wireless Unit, Intelligence (LIU), one team ATS, walk-through metal detector, three bomb detection and disposal squads, one anti mine team have been deployed.

Special arrangements for women’s safety

According to JCP Law and Order Bablu Kumar, there is a possibility of molestation and harassment in crowded places or where there is a crowd of women and girls. In such a situation, where there are more women or girls, 130 women police personnel in plain clothes have been put on duty.

Crowd management and VVIP arrangements:

– Separate entry/exit arrangements have been implemented at all the gates of the stadium.

– Separate routes have been earmarked for VVIP, players, media and general spectators.

Police booths, medical booths and control units are installed at strategic points inside and outside the stadium.

Appeal to the public:

– Use only designated gates and parking.

– Cooperate in security checks.

– Immediately report any suspicious object/person to the police.

– Follow traffic rules and diversions.

– General people should take care of diversion during the start of the match and after its end.
