Earlier, on March 29, 2026, a passenger of an IndiGo flight tried to open the emergency exit gate before landing. A flight from Bangalore to Varanasi was about to land when a passenger suddenly tried to press the emergency exit button. Responding to the situation, the pilot immediately aborted the landing procedure and the aircraft took off again, avoiding a potential hazard.
After the plane landed, the accused was handed over to the security agencies. He was initially detained by the airline’s security team and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), after which he was handed over to the local police. During interrogation, the accused initially made a strange claim of being possessed by a ghost, but later admitted that he did not know that pressing the emergency button could open the door. The police have registered a case against him in this case and the investigation is on.
Mumbai Police is now investigating who wrote ‘Danger’ on the tissue paper and why. Footage from CCTV cameras installed at the airport is being examined to identify the suspect. At present the situation is under control and all services at the airport are functioning normally. They say that the police will crack the case soon.
