Delhi To Dehradun In 2.5 Hours From 1st Week Of April
Soon the time is coming for the inauguration of the much-awaited Dehradun-Delhi Expressway and Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit Dehradun in the first week of April to inaugurate the expressway, said the sources.
Inauguration of Dehradun-Delhi Expressway
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has indicated that four packages of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are fully ready for inauguration as per the reports.
Moving ahead, this section extends from Khekra near the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) to the Saharanpur Bypass.
This project was recently reviewed by the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand and the inauguration ceremony will be held at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, and preparations are underway in full swing, said the officials.
After completion of this project, the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun is expected to come down to 2.5 hours from 6 hours.
Key Highlights From Dehradun-Delhi Expressway
- They are preparing Helipads along the expressway to facilitate PM Modi’s arrival.
- The cleaning and painting work has also started.
- Now, NHAI officials are busy removing the garbage lying along the expressway.
- At the time of the inauguration, there is a possibility of a public meeting of the Prime Minister.
Preparations In progress For The Arrival Of PM Modi
Prior to this, three helipads were built near the toll plaza at Ganeshpur and presently they are in process of building three more helipads from the expressway towards Dehradun.
It appears that they are preparing a total of six helipads to ensure all arrangements for PM Modi’s arrival are complete.
It is believed that PM Modi may travel by car on the elevated road during the period of the inauguration.
They have already built elevated road in Mohand, keeping wildlife protection in mind. In addition to this, PM Modi may also visit the Maa Daat Kali Temple.
So far, there is no official confirmation regarding the inauguration of the Dehradun-Delhi Expressway received from the Prime Minister’s Office and the final date and program outline are expected to be clear soon.
