What did Nishikant Dubey say?

Actually, this entire controversy started with a statement given by him on March 27, in which he had made many serious allegations regarding India’s foreign and defense policies of the 1960s. According to media reports, Dubey had claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru had links with the US and its intelligence agency CIA, especially around the India-China war of 1962. He also alleged that Biju Patnaik had played the role of a mediator between the US agencies and Nehru at that time.

After these allegations came to light, the political atmosphere heated up and many leaders including Biju Janata Dal gave a strong reaction calling it a serious issue. Now, despite Dubey’s clarification and apology, the controversy does not seem to have stopped completely, and politics on this issue may become more intense in the coming times.
