Dhami’s big bang! From rain of jobs to UCC, Chief Minister told how the fate of Uttarakhand is changing
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the “Uttarakhand Conclave” of ‘Aaj Tak’ organized at a local hotel in the capital. From this platform, CM Dhami not only gave frank answers to the questions of the opponents, but also put before the public the complete outline of the achievements and future vision of the state government. He told how his government is building a ‘new Uttarakhand’ on the basis of transparency and good governance.
Historic steps and influx of jobs for the youth
The Chief Minister said in the conclave that the biggest strength of the state government is its transparency. Referring to the country’s strictest ‘anti-copying law’, he said that now rigging in competitive examinations in the state has become a thing of the past. Sharing a big figure, the CM said that till now more than 30,000 youth have been given government jobs, which is a milestone in the history of the state. This has further strengthened the trust of the youth on the government.
Lakhpati Didi and new model of women empowerment
During the address, CM Dhami laid special emphasis on the economic independence of women. He said that the state government has kept a ‘gender budget’ of more than Rs 19,000 crore. The target set by the government to make more than 2.65 lakh women “Lakhpati Didi” has been successfully achieved. According to the Chief Minister, making women self-reliant is not just a slogan but a reality on the ground.
‘UCC’s Ganga flows from Uttarakhand to the entire country’
Talking about the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the Chief Minister proudly said that Uttarakhand has become the leading state in the country to implement this revolutionary law. Giving an inspiring message, he said, “The Ganga of UCC should originate from Uttarakhand and flow across the country.” He believes that this law is very important to bring social equality and harmony and if other states also adopt it, it will be in the national interest.
Frankly on law and order and Agneepath scheme
CM Dhami reiterated the government’s commitment on the famous Ankita Bhandari case and cheating cases. He made it clear that his priority is to ensure fair investigation and justice in sensitive cases. At the same time, on ‘Agniveer Yojana’ which has become a topic of discussion among the youth, he said that the Uttarakhand government is making concrete plans to give priority and special employment opportunities to the Agniveer after their retirement in the services of the state.
Roadmap of self-reliant Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister finally enumerated the historic decisions of his government on investment, tourism and connectivity. From new industrial policies to development of religious places and digital governance, Uttarakhand is now moving towards becoming a ‘role model’ in every field. He expressed confidence that in the coming times, Uttarakhand will be on the top in the list of most leading and self-reliant states of the country.
