New Delhi. The Muslim side got a big blow in the Supreme Court on Wednesday in the Bhojshala controversy. In the Supreme Court, the bench headed by CJI Surya Kant refused to hear the petition of the Muslim side. The Supreme Court said that it is not commenting on the merits of the case, but there is no need to intervene right now.

In the Bhojshala case, Muslim side’s lawyer and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid had demanded from the Supreme Court that the hearing in the Madhya Pradesh High Court starting from April 2 should be postponed. Also, videos and colored photographs related to the ASI survey should be made available to the Mosque Committee. Salman Khurshid said that the Muslim side was not given necessary time to respond to the ASI survey report and the Madhya Pradesh High Court is going to hear it in a hurry without giving complete material. On this, CJI Surya Kant said that the Supreme Court is confident that the Madhya Pradesh High Court will consider all the objections properly. He said that there is no doubt that the High Court will look at the videography and decide on all the objections on the principle of natural justice.

The Supreme Court made it clear that if any party has a complaint, it can go to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Justice Jaimalya Bagchi, member of the Supreme Court bench, said that some objections to the ASI survey report are listed and some are not listed. In such a situation, the video of the survey will be played in the High Court. Where all parties can raise questions. The Supreme Court also said that transparency will be maintained by including all electronic and documentary evidence in the ASI survey report. Hindu Front for Justice has filed a petition calling Bhojshala a temple of Goddess Saraswati. Whereas, the Muslim side calls it Kamal Maula Masjid. Madhya Pradesh High Court had said in its order on March 16 that the judge himself would go to Bhojshala and see. Which was challenged in the Supreme Court.
