Iran Warning: Warning of attacks on Meta, Google, Apple
Amidst Middle East tension, Iran’s IRGC has targeted 18 American tech companies including Meta, Google, Apple. Allegations of a role in AI and high-tech warfare led to warnings of the attack, which has raised concerns in the global security and tech sectors.
Iran Targets US Tech Companies: Amid increasing tension in the Middle East, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned of targeting America’s big tech companies. 18 companies including Meta, Google, Apple have been accused of collaborating in war through AI and data technology. This statement has come at a time when tensions between Iran and Israel are at their peak in the region. Iran has warned workers to evacuate the area and hinted at possible attacks, raising concerns globally.
Why did American tech companies come under target?
IRGC alleges that American tech companies are cooperating in the war through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-tech systems. Iran says that these companies are playing an indirect role in target identification and military strategies.
It has been made clear in this statement that now instead of traditional military bases, companies related to technology and data will be the primary target. This indicates that the nature of conflict may become more digital and technological in the coming times.
These big companies are under threat
According to reports, IRGC’s hit list includes Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google, Apple and big companies like Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Nvidia and Palantir. Along with this, industrial and aerospace companies like Boeing and Tesla are also under threat.
These companies are associated with AI, data analytics, satellite tracking and defense technology, which Iran considers part of high-tech warfare. This is the reason why it has been said that these institutions will be targeted directly.
Warning given to employees, increased concern
Iran has warned the employees of these companies and the people living nearby to vacate the area immediately. This indicates that the threat is not limited to cyber attacks only, but the possibility of physical attacks is also being raised.
This warning has come at a time when tensions between Israel and Iran are already at their peak in the Middle East. Iran has also made it clear that if any of its top leaders are attacked, this action may intensify.
