Luke Combs says he felt like vomiting during first meeting with Blake Shelton.
The Days Like These singer recalled being seriously ill the first time he met the country music star.
He admitted that the moment and first meeting with him left him feeling out of place.
The singer shared that he spent much of the trip unwell at a Mississippi gathering hosted by a music executive, while others socialised.
While speaking at a private event, he said “I’m the new guy, nobody knows who I am, and I felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there.”
“I’m in there, and Colin has this beautiful farm in Mississippi, and there’s deer, and I’m like, ‘Man, this is like Mecca for a redneck.’ There are ducks in the pond, and here I am, chugging the Imodium on the toilet.”
The Hurricane singer said he was so sick he stayed in his room eating chicken soup while Blake and other had the time of their lives outside.
“It was less than ideal. I remember thinking, like, ‘Well, this is it. My career’s over.’” he added.
Luke said he felt out of place because he finally got invited to do something cool but could not do it.
